A roadworthy certificate (also called RWC or Certificate of Roadworthiness) is necessary for any vehicle to circulate on public roads in Victoria. We are a VicRoads licensed vehicle tester, and offer a roadworthy certificate test for all vehicles. Whether it be a modification or repair, we can prepare your vehicle to achieve the desired certification. In compliance with VicRoads, we do not issue a roadworthy certificate unless the listed criteria are thoroughly checked and approved, included but not limited to:
Wheels and tyres
Steering, suspension and braking systems
Seats and seat belts
Lamps and reflectors
Windscreen and windows, including front windscreen wipers and washers
The structure of the vehicle itself
Other safety related items on the body, chassis or engine
In compliance with VicRoads, we issue roadworthy certificates for all vehicles that match the criteria set by the government. If your vehicle does not match the criteria, we can assist with the work required. Whether you sell a car, register a car or your car has defect notices, you will need a new roadworthy certificate. In the rare case that your vehicle is not made to carry passengers or goods, or it is a specially constructed vehicle, you may not need a roadworthy certificate, however for peace of mind, get in touch with our team.
